About Josh

Josh Hechtman is an investor in Bessemer’s New York City office, where he focuses on enterprise software, defense technology and emerging technologies. He returns to Bessemer after working with the firm as a summer analyst.

Before joining Bessemer full-time, Josh worked on the enterprise technology investment team at General Atlantic.

Josh graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and honors in international security studies. He was awarded the John Holland Slusser World Peace Prize for his senior thesis, “A Firm Handshake: States, Corporations, and Diplomacy in the Levant,” and was a two-time recipient of the George P. Shultz Fellowship.

Outside the office, he enjoys playing tennis and pickup basketball, cooking for friends, reading diplomatic history and discussing Emerson with his grandfather Hank.
