We're excited to share that Supermaven and Cursor are joining forces to create the most powerful AI-powered development environment. This combination brings together Cursor's beloved VS Code-based editor with Supermaven's blazing-fast, context-aware, SOTA code completion model.

Together, they're positioned to deliver what developers really need – not just another AI coding tool, but a true development partner that understands your entire codebase and helps you write better code, faster.
We're especially excited by the union of these two powerhouse teams. Jacob's pioneering work with TabNine and his deep expertise in LLMs from OpenAI, combined with Cursor's relentless focus on developer experience and organic developer love, create a technical and product dream team. Talia Goldberg is a partner in Bessemer’s San Francisco office. She supports teams that leverage AI to create new categories and progress the way we live and work. She looks for founders building radically better products with unique distribution models, or those pushing the frontier.
Talia joined Bessemer in 2013. Eric Kaplan
Vice President
Eric is an investor in the New York City office, where he invests across the AI stack from infrastructure, to data infra, to applied AI. Eric is drawn to product-obsessed founders across categories innovating at the frontier.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Eric worked at FirstMark Capital and Inspired Capital investing in early stage businesses. Prior to working as an investor, Eric was an early growth product manager at Via, a global provider of on-demand and transportation software. While at Via, Eric managed user funnels, account creation, and global payments. He started his career in management consulting at Monitor Deloitte.
Eric earned his B.A. with honors in philosophy, politics, and economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Harvard Business School. At Harvard, Eric was actively involved the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
In his free time, Eric enjoys drawing, historical fiction, and Seinfeld trivia.
Bhavik Nagda
Investor
Bhavik is an investor in the New York office, where he focuses on enterprise software and data systems.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Bhavik was an engineer at Cruise Automation and Covariant.ai, building machine learning pipelines and user interfaces for warehouse robotics.
Bhavik earned his B.S. and masters in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He sits on MIT's Computer Science Diversity & Equity Committee and MIT's Center for Entrepreneurship Board. In his spare time, Bhavik enjoys running, hiking, and reconnecting with old friends.
