Generative media is transforming content creation, leading to an explosion of creativity. As Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said, “every single pixel will be generated soon. Not rendered. Generated.” At the helm of this transformation is fal, which provides the critical infrastructure for this transformation. We are proud to support fal and to announce our investment in their $49M Series B financing.

fal is the leading developer platform and inference engine for generative media. The challenge is not generating content, but doing so at scale, efficiently, and with the reliability that enterprises demand. fal's inference engine is built ground up to handle the computational complexity of real-time media generation. It optimizes model performance, reducing costs and latency by 10x, and provides developers with access to hundreds of models via a single API. fal manages over 100 million inference requests a day, while boasting a 99.99% uptime.

The generative media market is in its infancy. While the spotlight to date has been on image generation, the next frontier is clear—video. Video accounts for approximately 65% of all internet traffic, a figure that has been steadily increasing. As video gen progresses, this figure will inevitably explode. fal is already leading the way powering generative video for ads, product demos, creator content, and more.

Our belief in fal is also rooted in our belief in its team. Talia has known founders Burkay Gur and Gorkem Yurtseven for years. Her relationship with Gorkem dates back to college. From the very beginning, the founders’ understanding of the customer, and passion for product excellence were evident. They have also attracted a powerhouse team of researchers, engineers, and builders.

fal has earned the trust of more than one million developers for a reason: unmatched speed, superior performance, and seamless workflows. From early stage startups to industry giants like Canva, Perplexity and Quora, fal is the platform of choice for developers and enterprises big and small. And they are just getting started.

As AI transforms media creation and consumption, fal is the engine fuelling this shift. The infrastructure for modern media.
